THE AREA

Kamares is situated about 10 kilometres from Pafos town centre, in an elevated position, that affords lovely unobstructed views over the Mediterranean and coastal areas. Cooling breezes keep the humidity at bay here.

In recent years however, the area has become very popular and expanded considerably, but has retained its charm and appeal, being beautifully maintained and landscaped. There are several very good restaurants and tavernas around the village square at Tala, about 2 kilometres away, and in other nearby areas, as well as a small supermarket. There is a pharmacy, and a small Anglican church.

Residents have free use of the Kamares Club, a focal point for the local community, with restaurant, bar, tennis courts, and a large swimming pool. A recent addition is a medical centre with a 24 hour emergency response service.

Pafos town centre is about 20 minutes away, with its market, banks, post offices, and a wide variety of shops. Another 10 minutes away is Kato Pafos, with its beautiful harbour, ancient fort, ruined castle, lighthouse, Roman remains, and incredible mosaics. Pafos International Airport is situated along the coast about 10 kilometres away, and Larnaca airport is reached along the main Pafos/Limassol/Nicosia highway, about ¾ hour distant.\
