THE AREA
The pretty village of Lemona is situated in the
foothills of the Troodos range of mountains, about
30 minutes drive from Pafos, by a very
straightforward road. It is a quiet and peaceful
village, and very traditional, and has proved
popular with a number of ex-patriates. It is
surrounded by lovely rolling countryside, with
excellent walking and bird-watching in the area.
Although Lemona has no facilities of its own, it is
only 2 kilometres from the village of Choulou, which
has a taverna and a small shop. The village of
Letymbou, about 6 kilometres along the road to Pafos
has a bank, a small supermarket, a cafe, and
suppliers of fuels such as gas. About 8 kilometres
away is the village of Amargeti, which boasts a an
excellent taverna, and from where there is a major
road back down to the Pafos/Limassol highway, close
to the airport turn-off.
THE HOUSE
This 100 year old stone house is located in the
centre of Lemona village, and has been tastefully
and sympathetically restored to provide comfortable
living accommodation, either as a family dwelling,
or as a holiday home. Occupying a corner plot, the
house has retained a number of original features.
The addition of a plunge pool in the courtyard, and
a cool and airy roof terrace, make it a lovely
summery home that enjoys total privacy.
