THE AREA
Not long ago, Peyia was a small, hillside village,
surrounded by olive trees and grape fields, and
several miles by donkey from the town of Pafos. In
recent years, it has become very popular with both
holiday makers and permanent residents, and it has
now spread to become a thriving, and very popular
area. Much of its old charm can still be found
within the village itself, which these days can
boast a full range of tavernas and restaurants to
suit every taste, as well as the usual necessary
amenities such as banks and supermarkets.
Only 10 mins. drive away is the beautiful resort of
Coral Bay, with its two sandy beaches, bars and
restaurants, sailing, and many other water sports.
The town of Pafos is about 20 mins. drive away, and
here can be found the main shopping area and market
in Ktima, the upper part of the town, and the
beautiful harbour and fort in Kato Pafos, at the
foot of the hill. The international airport is half
an hour away, while Larnaca airport is reached by
fast motorway, a journey of around one and a half
hours.
The whole area is close to miles of lovely coastline
and acres of forests, offering excellent walking,
bird-watching, and sailing.
THE HOUSE
The house is located about 15 minutes walk from the
centre of Peyia village, in a very quiet cul-de-sac
along the side of the hill. Built in 2004, the
finish of the house is of a very high standard, and
the aspect is a broad vista along the coastline
around Pafos. The land below drops away so nothing
could be built that would interrupt this stunning
view.
The spacious lounge/diner has a huge bay window
overlooking the garden, pool, and sea view. The 4
bedrooms are all doubles and 3 of them have en suite
facilities. The attractive garden has been designed
for ease of maintenance, with a shady sitting area,
as well as a long patio beside the large pool.
