Farrago is not entirely an old house. It was a stone ruin, which has been lovingly restored, using the same stone and retaining many of the original old features.

Nestling in a hollow in the centre of the village, it is cool and airy in the summer, cosy and warm in the winter. The guest bedroom is light and airy, with large windows on two sides. There are twin beds, with crisp cotton sheets for the summer and goose-down duvets for the winter months. The fully tiled shower room is en suite.
Outside the door are a balcony and roof garden, for quiet sunbathing and relaxation. Breakfast is served on the garden patio in the summer. The surrounding countryside is perfect for quiet exploration, on foot or by car. The coast is only 25km away in each direction, particularly dramatic on the north coast where the mountains meet the sea. Click to enlarge...

The garden at Farrago, like Topsy, "just growed".  It is not very large but we have packed it full of colour and greenery, so that it is a pretty and calming place to be at any time of the year.

There are many low stone walls and flower beds, and crazy paved areas for sitting and listening to the soothing sound of a small waterfall.  For the dedicated sun worshipper, we have a small roof garden area, with sunbeds and large umbrella.
