Over the past few years, Cyprus has seen a huge surge in the building of private houses and apartments, to satisfy the growing demand from local residents, and from the steadily increasing numbers of foreigners choosing to make this lovely island their permanent home, or provide a holiday home for themselves and their friends.

Many consider that this building programme has gone too far, and it is certainly true that private property is becoming harder to sell as the market becomes flooded. As a result, more and more discerning buyers are choosing to move away from the coastal region of Pafos, and out into the countryside, where there is so much more space.

Nothing is very far away from the Pafos area, for convenience of shopping and other services, and the farther away from the coast, the more beautiful the scenery. Property prices are often cheaper too.

Country Homes Cyprus is not an estate agent. Our sole activity is the marketing of properties on behalf of the owners. When you have decided to buy one of our houses, we will pass your offer on to the owner, and if it is accepted, all future negotiations will be conducted by your respective lawyers. They should preferably both be in Cyprus for speed and ease.
